Cycling at the heart of Alice Holt

Staff at the Alice Holt Forest have turbocharged their activity programme, thanks to funding from Sport England.

The popular Activity Centre, at the main entrance to the 2,000 acre forest, now boasts a huge range of cycling, walking and family-friendly activities. They have added E-bikes to their fleet of hire bicycles, suitable for all ages and abilities, and just perfect for zipping around the many off-road cycle trails. And, in addition to their child-friendly array of hireable tag-alongs, trailers and child seats, they offer a comprehensive range of inclusive cycles, which enable disabled people to enjoy cycling independently, or by riding with a carer.

The centre is staffed by an enthusiastic and experienced team, with a wealth of cycling knowledge and huge array of practical items designed to encourage visitors to take to two wheels, ranging from helmets to inner-tube recycling.

At half-term they will be providing cycle training for children, together with opportunities so see and experience their range of inclusive cycling bikes and equipment.

Whether you take you own bike, or rent from the Activity Centre, our verdict is that this is a five-star facility. Don’t miss it. More information here.
